Hiep Phuoc Customs detected smuggled Chinese shipments of more than 1 billion VND

According to the Customs Branch Hiep Phuoc port gate, the shipments were for P.H. Trading Services Company Limited (District 2, HCMC) the name on the import Customs declaration.
The declaration included 4 items: screws and nuts of all kinds, made in China, 100% new, weight 23.200kg, including 972 cartons, worth over 258 million VND, the total tax payable is 40 million VND.
Based on the information in the declaration, the shipment was classified for the yellow channel. However, through research, the shipment showed suspisious signs so the leader of Customs Branch of Hiep Phuoc port decided to conduct a physical inspection the entire shipment.

The result, apart from the goods declared by the enterprise, customs authorities also found the company had imported some undeclared items including 1,300 Pineng rechargeable batteries at 10000 mAh, nearly 400 motors of 3 mixed types. Its worth an estimated 1 billion VND, estimated tax revenues of around 200 million vnd.
According to the Customs Branch Hiep Phuoc port gate, the company took advantage in export and import operations. In fact, recently, a number of business perosns used the technique to make false declarations in order to check in through the yellow channel for smuggling and tax fraud.
The incident was recorded in the Customs office of administrative violations in the field of Customs for handling in accordance with the law.
