Accordingly, the month of accompanying with taxpayers will be organised simultaneously at General Affairs Division and 27 tax branches with the support functions on policy support, information technology support and tax declaration support.

According to representatives of the Propaganda and Taxpayer Service Deparment, for Hanoi Tax Department, during this time, all the policy contents and guidelines for taxpayers implementing tax finalization have been summarised and edited briefly by tax authorities. So it is easy to understand and provide to taxpayers via email address which is registered to connect with tax authorities. Thereby, taxpayers will soon be updated information about tax policies and guidelines of the Tax Department to comply with regulations.

At taxpayers' offices, for enterprises with a large number of personal income tax settlement dossiers, the Tax Department will have a separate plan to support and receive dossiers such as sending tax officials to enterprises to receive dossiers or work with enterprises to check, review tax dossiers of employees and receive at management division (enterprises do not have to lodge at the single window division).

At the same time, the Taxation Department will cooperate with tax agents to assist taxpayers at the point of receiving dossiers, to ensure submission is quick and complies with regulations.

Hanoi Tax Department also recommends organisations and individuals lodge personal income tax finalisation dossiers before deadline to avoid congestion in peak periods.

For the case of lodging personal income tax finalisation dossier in paper, it should apply the method of lodging dossiers by mail to save time, travel costs and avoid crowds to prevent Covid-19. When submitting applications by post, the taxpayer should declare fully name, contact address, email address and telephone number so the tax authority can provide information and contact the taxpayer if the tax dossiers need to be supplemented for completion.

If an individual has an overpaid amount of personal income tax and requires a tax refund or tax clearing in the next period, he/she should submit after March 30, 2020.
