Ha Tinh Customs seizes about 2kg of methamphetamine and over 5,000 of amphetamine tablets

VCN – The Anti-Drug Enforcement Team under Ha Tinh Customs Department coordinated with Luong Son District Police to arrest suspects transporting and storing nearly 2kg of methamphetamine and over 5,000 amphetamine tablets, the local department said.

On October 27, the Customs and the Police Forces arrested Cao Nguyen Ky, 35, residing in Dien Chau District, Nghe An province, for illegal transportation of drugs.

Through the inspection, authority agencies seized about 2kg of methamphetamine and 163 tablets of amphetamine.

Expanding the investigation, the forces seized more than 5,217 tablets of methamphetamine and arrested three other suspects.

Cao Nguyen Ky said that the drugs were transported from Laos and hidden in Son Tay Town and then transported to Duc Tho District by bus for consumption.

Currently, the competent authorities are investigated and completing the profile of the case for handling.
