FDI enterprise fined over US$2 billion for false declaration of HS code

VCN – When checking the declaration of goods imported by an FDI enterprise, HCM City Customs Department detected that the company falsely declared the HS code of goods.

According to the city customs department, in August while inspecting the declaration of BS30 Automotive Optical Film worth over VND2.7 billion imported by M. Vietnam Co., Ltd., the Investigation/Processing Customs Branch detected that the company falsely declared HS code, leading to the missing of tax payable worth over VND1.8 billion.

The branch issued Decison 2209/QD-XPVPHC to fine the company over VND360 million for false declaration of HS code and the tax rate of cleared goods, leading to the missing of the tax payable.

The branch collected tax arrears and fined the company over VND2.1 billion.
