The interdisciplinary working group includes 14 leaders and experts from the Standing Office of the National Steering Committee 389 and leaders of relevant units and authorities.

According to the above decision, the interdisciplinary working group is in charge of proactively, regularly monitoring and grasping the situation, coordinating with the 389 Steering Committees of ministries, central agencies, and localities to inspect, urge and guide the implementation of assigned tasks seriously and effectively;

Assuming the prime responsibility for and working with the Steering Committees 389 of ministries, central agencies and localities in formulating programs, plans and coordination mechanisms following the real situation in each period and for each locality, and each field, ensuring that agencies, units, competent forces and local authorities at all levels improve the effectiveness of combating smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeiting.

In addition, the interdisciplinary working group is responsible for chairing and working with relevant agencies, units, and competent units at central and local levels, organizations and enterprises to organize meetings, conferences and seminars to assess the actual situation, propose appropriate solutions to improve the effectiveness of the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeiting on borders, sea and inland areas;

Receiving and processing information on smuggling, commercial fraud and counterfeit goods; coordinating units to carry out solutions to perform tasks promptly, decisively and effectively handle unexpected and complicated cases and situations related to smuggling and trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the area;

Regularly coordinating closely with news agencies and the press to well implement information on the situation of smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods, the performance results of Plan No. 92; organizing conferences to disseminate legal provisions to raise awareness and sense of responsibility of agencies, organizations and individuals in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods.

Further, the interdisciplinary working group has to summarize and report on the situation, new methods and tricks for smuggling, commercial fraud and counterfeit goods and the implementation results; advise leaders of the National Steering Committee 389 to give directions to remove arising difficulties and problems, to commend collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements, to strictly handle collectives and individuals that cover, abet, protect or participate in smuggling, commercial fraud and counterfeiting activities; guide the organization of preliminary review and general review for the results of the implementation of Plan No. 92
