VCN – Dien Bien Police have busted a case of drug trafficking 115 bricks of heroin.

Dien Bien Police bust drug trafficking of 115 bricks of heroin

Suspects and drugs are seized by competent forces.

In April 2022, Dien Bien Police identified suspects transporting drugs from Laos across Dien Bien to ship to other provinces for consumption. The local police made a special plan to tackle the case.

The special plan was jointly chaired by the Dien Bien provincial police and units under the Ministry of Public Security, Traffic Police Department, Mobile Police and Customs Enforcement Team under Dien Bien Customs Department.

The working team arrested four suspects residing in Tin Lan village, Nua Ngam commune, Dien Bien district, namely Giang A Tru and Ly A Kha, Ly A Manh, and Giang A So for illegal drug transportation.

Currently, the competent forces have seized 115 packs of heroin, weighing over 40kg.

The suspects admitted that these drugs were bought from Laos and transported to Lao Cai for consumption.
