Customs strengthen to control fake and low quality fertilizers

In order to intensify strict control over the import of fertilizers and prevent the import of counterfeit and low quality fertilizers, the GDVC request the provincial Customs Departments to guide and inspect the organizations and individuals operate in engaged in fertilizer field at Vietnam, to comply with the regulations on management of imported and exported fertilizers (according to the Government's Decree No. 108/2017 / ND-CP) dated 20/9/2017 of the Government.

Furthermore, the units should intensify the collection, processing information and grasp the situation of imported goods, especially the fertilizer items, thereby detecting and preventing timely the smuggling of fertilizers and counterfeit fertilizers, poor quality into Vietnam. In particular, to inspect and control the trail, open way, side gate, border economic zone, trade area,...

The provincial Customs Departments should coordinate with the Agriculture and Rural Development Department in reviewing policies mechanisms on fertilizers in order to detect shortcomings and potential risks of smuggling, trade frauds and illegal transporting of fertilizers cross the border. At the same time, coordinating with other forces such as Border Defense force, Police, Market Management, Coast Guard ... to share information, patrolling control; Strictly handling individuals, groups that are lack of responsibility, ignoring or helping to smuggle to take place on routes, localities, units, and areas in charge.
