According to Vinh Xuong International Border Gate Customs Branch, Manager Tran Dinh Loi signed a decision to prosecute a criminal case at Vinh Xuong Border Gate and transfer the case to the Police.

Earlier, on January 19, the local customs branch coordinated with the local border guard and anti-smuggling team to inspect a truck travelling from Cambodia to Vietnam across Gate 1 without a customs declaration and showing suspicious signs.

Through the inspection, the competent forces detected VND360 million hidden in a black bag without customs declaration. The case was transferred to Vinh Xuong International Border Gate Customs Branch.

Driver Nguyen Vo Phuoc, 30, residing in Long An commune, Tan Chau town, An Giang said that he lived with his wife's family, and had no a house, so he brought all his saved money with him. He did not understand regulations on carrying money across the border, so did not make a customs declaration.
