Quang Ninh Customs strengthens coordination against the smuggling of petroleum

Quang Ninh Customs Department also requested the customs branches to direct the business support team of the unit to be proactive, regularly follow the situation, grasp the business activities, import and export of petroleum of enterprises.

At the same time, the unit should promptly support, guide, create favorable conditions, and remove arising difficulties and problems (if any) for enterprises trading petroleum in the province when carrying out customs procedures.

Along with that, strengthen customs inspection and supervision for the import and export activities of petroleum in the area; closely coordinate with local forces in preventing and combating smuggling and trade fraud for petroleum products, especially on the sea route to create a healthy, transparent and stable business environment in trading petroleum and protect the interests of consumers.

In addition, collecting information, risks assessment, applying risk management in customs operations, warning about import and export of petroleum in the province in accordance with regulations.

Previously, Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to strengthen the inspection and supervision of trading petroleum activities in the province.

At this meeting, Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee Bui Van Khang directed departments, agencies and localities in the province to strengthen and organize the strict implementation of documents of the Government and ministries, branches and provinces on strengthening inspection and supervision of trading petroleum.

Furthermore, implementing synchronous solutions to ensure sufficient supply of petroleum in all situations; improve state management capacity and efficiency, strengthen inspection and control of the market, anti-smuggling and trade fraud, create a healthy, transparent and stable business environment in trading petroleum and protect the interests of consumers.

Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee Bui Van Khang also requested Quang Ninh Customs Department to guide and facilitate clearance procedures as prescribed to import petroleum into the province. At the same time, coordinating with localities and competent forces in the area to strictly control and fight smuggling in the import and export activities of petroleum, especially on the sea route.
