VCN – At the conference of “Customs – Enterprises: Connection – Sharing – Concomitance”, organized on 21/6 by General Department of Vietnam Customs, Deputy Director General of Vietnam Customs Mai Xuan Thah said that, with the desire to support and facilitate to enterprises, the customs authorities have paid special attention to the work of information, propaganda and dissemination of law and training for enterprises, in that, one of the key communicators to deliver information faster to enterprises is the Customs News.

Deputy Director General of Vietnam Customs Mai Xuan Thanh stressed that, Customs authorities always use the mass media as a tool to transmit information quickly to enterprises, with the core information source is the electronic portal of customs authorities at all levels, Customs News, along with central and local news, radio.

At the same time, the support activities of customs for enterprises are reflected in the diversification of forms of receiving, supporting and settling problems at customs headquarters. Many localities, provinces and cities nationwide have taken the initiative to go to the enterprises for finding and grasping their needs and production methods, so that they could have the best way to support them.

In the specific areas, the Customs authorities has actively edited the documents, guidelines and translated into foreign languages, handed out leaflets to enterprises to help them timely grasp the policy regulations so they can comply with the law. From the recommendation of the enterprises, the customs authorities have adjusted to intensify the training sessions, guidance to the business and go directly to the customs declarants.

Besides that, the Customs authorities are also very interested in encouraging the business community to cooperate in building the customs authorities to be increasingly clean and powerful. Customs authorities have actively set up channels to connect with the business community so that they can timely reflect and give comments on activities of the customs authorities at all levels.

Some tools should be mentioned such as: The hotline of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, the comments box at the offices, the reception section, the column for comments, the information on the Customs Portal, Customs News.

Moreover, Customs authorities actively set up regular cooperation channels with business associations, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vietnam, through regular, monthly and quarterly meetings. In addition, Customs authorities also cooperate closely with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, foreign embassies and representative organizations of foreign enterprises in Vietnam through regular meetings; organize surveys of business satisfaction to evaluate the performance of the customs authorities at all levels.

In order to further improve the effectiveness of the partnership between customs and enterprises, Deputy Director General Mai Xuan Thanh emphasized that in the future, the Customs authorities will implement synchronous solutions, including communication solution.

Customs authorities will coordinate with business associations, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vietnam to strengthen information dissemination on activities of Customs-business partnership to the business community; set up a mechanism to update information on partner activities at all levels; Establishment of the Customs-Business partner column on the Customs Electronic Portal and the Customs News.

In addition, the Customs authorities will deploy numerical solutions to dialogue, consultation and implementation of key partners regularly to develop the Customs-Business partnership.
