Customs force coordinate to seize 1.7kg heroin

VCN – Anti-drug Enforcement Team (Team 5), Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department (General Department of Customs) presided over the coordination to arrest a person who transported 1.7kg heroin from Laos to Vietnam.

At 9:20 PM on 15/6, on National Highway 1A in the area of group 20, Nam Son Ward, Tam Diep City, Ninh Binh province, Team 5 presided to coordinate with Division 6, C47 Department (Ministry of Public Security) and PC47, Ninh Binh Police, Yen Mo police in order to arrest Luong Van Thien (was born in 1978, lived in Son Thanh hamlet, Ta Co commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An) while transporting on car with license plate No. 14B-02561 in the route from Vinh City -Ka Long (Mong Cai). He carried five cakes of heroin with a total weight of 1.7 kg.

Through the primary testimony, he confessed that he transported the above heroin from Laos to Vietnam, then transported to China for consumption. However while crossing through the territory of Ninh Binh, he was arrested by competent forces.

Currently, the dossier of the case, exhibits, and subject have been handed over to PC47, Ninh Binh police for further investigation.
