Customs clearance via Bac Luan Bridge II is expected to launch on 19 March 2019

In order to prepare for this important event, currently, the branch has coordinated with units in the province to prepare infrastructure and allocate resources to implement in accordance with Customs processes and procedures.

Recently, on 20 February, Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Long, and Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee Bui Van Khang, inspected and reviewed the conditions to prepare for the clearance via Bac Luan Bridge II.

According to the leader of the Management Board of the provincial civil and industrial construction investment projects, the project of inter-sectoral control station of Bac Luan Bridge II was implemented from February 2018 with a total investment capital of nearly VND 400 billions.

Besides, the centralized goods inspection site as well as the equipment system related to the Customs, Border Guard, and Quarantine forces are also being urgently completed by agencies at border gate.

The installation of machinery and equipment as well as the preparation on organization for clearance via Bac Luan Bridge II is striving for completion on 10 March 2019. The pilot Customs clearance via Bac Luan Bridge II is expected to operate from 15 to 18 March 2019.

Through inspection and reports of relevant sectors, Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Long emphasized that Bac Luan bridge II made a great contribution to reduce the traffic flow through Bac Luan Bridge I, promoting trade development between Vietnam and China, meeting the demand for transporting goods and passengers and facilitating trade between the two countries.

The operation of inter-sectoral control station of Bac Luan Bridge II will improve the capacity of checking and controlling entry and exit activities, import and export activities of goods and services. At the same time, ensuring border order and security and synchronous development and unified technical infrastructure in border areas.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the concerned units to urgently complete working items and ensure that before 10 March 2019, some necessary items for clearance via Bac Luan Bridge II are completed for the expected launch to be held on 19 March 2019.
