VCN- On the night of 31/8/2016, in Nam Po district, Dien Bien province, drug inspectors, with cooperation with the police force and the border guards, succeeded in preventing a case of smuggling 5 heroin packagesand about 24,000 synthetic pills from Laos to Vietnam.

Mua A Hong.

The suspect was identified as Mua A Hong, born in 1987 (residing in the Museums Do, Nam Tin Commune, Nam Po district, Dien Bien province).

Earlier, Mua A Hong had transited via Tay Trang international border into Laos to purchase and ship the package to Vietnam through the trails between Vietnam and Laos’ borderline with the attempt to delivery at New village, Cha Cang commune, Nam Po district.

Being caught off guard by the task force, Mua A Hong was captured promptly.

Consequently, the forces seized 120 packages, which containing several packs (equivalent to 24,000 pills), and a number of heroin packages.

Due to the sophisticated characteristics of the case, in the afternoonof September 1^st, chief of Dien Bien Customs Departmentwasdirectly involved in the investigation in Nam Po district, to expand the case further.

Moreover, the chief immediately congratulatedthe task force on itssuccess, to encourage them.
