Arrest 2 brothers transporting 18 bars of heroin

According to the information from the Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department (General Department of Vietnam Customs), the incident was discovered and arrested at 3:30PM on 29/8.

The forces participated in the project including: Northern Anti-Drug Enforcement Unit (Unit 5, Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department); Anti-drug and criminal investigation Police Division - PC 04, Moc Chau District Police, Van Ho District Police (Son La Province Police), Anti-drug and criminal investigation Police Department - C04 (Ministry of Public Security), Anti-Drug Enforcement Unit (Dien Bien Customs Department).

The two subjects were Trang Lao Su (18 years old) and Trang A Chong (21 years old) who were siblings and live in Phieng Cai village, Long Sap commune, Moc Chau district, Son La province.

The confiscated exhibit include 18 bars of heroin, a motorbike, two mobile phones and some related exhibits.

Through the struggle for taking testimonies, the subjects claimed that they were hired by a man in the border area for transporting heroin for sale. If they succeeded, they would be paid 2 million/bar. However, they were caught while they were on their way by the competent forces.

The subjects and exhibits were handed over to the Anti-drug and criminal investigation Police Division - PC 04, Son La Provincial Police for investigation and handling.
