A target of 546 billion VND of debt recovery in 2019

The target of debt recovery include overdue debts, fine of late payment for overdue debts arising before 1/1/2019 and declarations that have been cleared (including 100% off recoverable debts) as of 31/12/2018.
The target of recovery and processing debts include: overdue debt for 90 days (174.297 billion VND), overdue debt for more than 90 days (330,008 billion VND) and late payment (41,777 billion VND).
The directors of the provincial Customs Departments and the Post- Clearance Audit Department take responsibility in the implementation of the recovery and processing of tax debts in order to achieve the assigned targets. At the same time, monitor, manage and propose to handle doubtful debts at the unit.
The Decision also stated: The heads of the units under the customs sector do not let new debts arise in 2019. In case of arising new debts, they must immediately implement debt recovery measures; continue to apply enforcement measures in accordance with regulations and report debt recovery results on a monthly basis.
Among more than 546,083 billion VND of total debt, the General Department of Vietnam Customs assigned the units to recover and process, HCM City Customs Department was assigned to collect more than 214,483 billion VND; Post-clearance Audit Department is more than 131.95 billion VND; Danang Customs Department has to collect over 54.988 billion VND; Hanoi Customs Department must collect more than 47,659 billion VND; Hai Phong Customs Department has to collect over 45.83 billion VND;
Next, Quang Ngai Customs Department is assigned to collect more than 29,271 billion VND; Ha Nam Ninh Customs Department has to collect more than 5,096 billion VND; Lang Son Customs Department is over 1,737 billion VND; Ba Ria-Vung Tau Customs Department is more than 4,271 billion VND; Ha Tinh Customs Department is more than 3,257 billion VND; Binh Duong Customs Department is more than 2,327 billion VND. The remaining debt collection targets at some customs departments is only a few million to several hundred million VND.
In 2019, some customs departments did not receive tax recovery targets such as: Quang Ninh, Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Dien Bien, Quang Binh and Quang Tri; Gia Lai - Komtum, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Kien Giang, Can Tho, Ca Mau. However, the General Department of Vietnam Customs also requested those units to continue applying coercive measures complying with regulations to monitor, manage and propose handling of doubtful debts at their units.
