Generally, between January and June, the whole country imported 63,731 CBUs of all kinds, with a total turnover of US$1.57 billion, down 21.4% in volume and 14.4% in turnover year-on-year.
The two most imported car kinds are cars with nine seats or less with 49,050 vehicles, with a turnover of nearly US$985 million and trucks with 8,988 vehicles with US$328.5 million.
Although the total number of imported cars decreased year-on-year, the number of cars with 9 seats or less rose by more than 1,000 vehicles.
The type of vehicle seeing a deep decrease in imports was trucks, with a decrease of more than 10,000 vehicles.
Regarding the average declared value (excluding tax), each imported car in the past six months increased by about US$2,000/car compared to the same time last year.
