Four tens of billion USD export markets

Four export markets are the US, China, South Korea and Japan. In particular, the US continue to be the largest export market of Vietnam with the turnover of US$ 55.1 billion. Comparing with the same period last year, the export turnover of this market increase by US$ 10.7 billion.
China maintained its position as Vietnam's second-largest export market with an export turnover of US$27.7 billion, representing a US$1.6 billion increase compared to the same period in 2023.
South Korea ranked third among Vietnam's export destinations, with a turnover of US$12.2 billion, marking a US$1.1 billion increase. Japan followed in fourth place, reaching US$11.4 billion in exports, reflecting a modest US$300 million growth compared to the same period last year.
Vietnam's exports to other key markets also demonstrated impressive growth during the first half of 2024. Exports to the EU surged by US$3.3 billion, while exports to the ASEAN market increased by US$2 billion. Exports to Hong Kong (China) witnessed a US$1.8 billion rise.
Overall, Vietnam's total export turnover reached US$207.25 billion from the beginning of the year to July 15, 2024, representing a 15.19% increase compared to the same period in the previous year (equivalent to an additional US$27.33 billion in export turnover).
