Vietnam rice brand logo will be announced in December

VCN – The logo for Vietnam’s rice brand will be announced in the Opening Ceremony of the third Vietnam Rice Festival – Long An 2018 by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on 18/12.

Vietnam’s rice brand will have international protection.

The information was presented in the press conference of “the third Vietnam Rice Festival – Long An 2018 and Launching Ceremony of Logo of Vietnam rice brand” organised by Vietnam Farmer’s Union on 6/11 in HCM City.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung, Manager of Argo Processing and Market Development Authority Area 1 said that to select Vietnam’s Rice Brand logo, in 2017, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development launched a national trademark logo contest. The competition has received 199 applications from many countries around the world. After three rounds of selection, the organizers have selected one first prize and four consolation prizes.

At present, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has carried out the procedures of international registration for the Vietnam rice brand. The International Intellectual Property Organization has also issued code 1425573 for the Vietnamese rice brand. Currently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is supplementing the necessary documents required by the Madrid system in order to register for global protection of the Vietnamese rice brand.

At the Launching Ceremony of Logo of Vietnam rice brand, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development also announced regulations on the use of logos, including rice types with logos, procedures for granting certificates to organizations, individuals, and fees ...

The introduction of the Vietnam Rice Brand Logo has great meaning to the rice industry. This would greatly support the promotion and development of the market for Vietnamese rice grains, which would help Vietnamese rice gain a foothold in the world market. Besides that, the logo is a catalyst for businesses and farmers to invest in the quality of rice, contributing to the sustainable development of rice in Vietnam.

The 3rd Vietnam Rice Festival - Long An, 2018 and the Launching Ceremony of Logo of Vietnam rice brand "is an event co-organized by the Vietnam Farmer's Union in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the People's Committee of Long An. The event will take place from 18 to 24/12/2018 in Tan An City, Long An Province.

The event was organized to provide trade promotion solutions in the fields of agriculture, farmers and rural development, to support businesses and farmers to operate effectively and to help Vietnam's rice industry enhance the competitiveness in the market.

This was also an opportunity for managers, entrepreneurs, scientists and farmers to access the world's advanced technology in rice production and trading, contributing to the improvement of living standards of people in rural and urban areas. At the same time, this was also a time for honoring and appreciating the contributions of scientists, researchers, businesses and farmers who have contributed their wisdom and labor to the development of Vietnam rice.

The festival would be attended by central ministries; provinces and cities throughout the country; scientists, gardeners, creative farmers, rice farmers - good businesses in the rice industry in the country. Along with that, the units, enterprises, domestic and foreign investors ... would participate for the purpose of serving the development of agriculture, farmers, rural areas and the development of Vietnam rice, prestigious export enterprises of Vietnam rice industry... Enterprises in the field of production, trading, import and export of agricultural products and commercial products, services, traditional craft villages ...
