The tax sector reduce the loss by more than 13,000 billion VND through inspections

In 2018, according to the plan, the whole tax sector will have to conduct inspections with more than 89.2 thousand businesses. As of August 31, the tax sector has inspected 50,178 enterprises across the country. Total tax revenue increased through inspections and examinations was over 8.998 billion VND. This figure was equivalent to 80.37% compared to the same period of 2017.
Through inspection and examination the tax sector has deducted more than 814 billion VND and reduced the loss by more than 13,685 billion VND. From there, the total amount of tax paid to the budget was 4,599 billion VND. This revenue achieved a 51.11% increase of tax revenue collected through inspections and examinations, and by 68.75% over the same period of 2017.
According to a report from the General Department of Taxation, at the end of August the tax authorities across the country have checked 306,162 tax dossiers at the headquarters of the tax authorities. From that, making adjustment to increase revenue collected to the budget by nearly 221 billion VND. At the same time, the deduction was nearly 42 billion VND, which reduced loss by nearly 67 billion VND.
Furthermore, according to the General Department of Taxation, through the inspection and examination of tax declaration dossiers at tax authorities, they detected mistakes and fraudulence by taxpayers in order to adjust the increase of declared tax or tax assessment.
Notably, the General Department of Taxation said that as of the end of 31/8, the tax authorities have conducted inspections and examinations of 270 enterprises with associated transaction activities, thereby, they collected arrears and sanctioned with the amount of fines of more than 737 billion VND. As a result, reducing the loss of 3,166 billion VND; reduced the amount of deduction by 12.5 billion VND and adjusted to increase taxable income by 2,348 billion VND.
From now to the end of the year, the tax sector will continue to inspect enterprises and household businesses in order to ensure that the number of enterprises that need to be inspected will reach 18.5% of the total number of operating enterprises.
