Implementing the coordination regulation between the Border Guard Command and the General Department of Customs, the Thai Binh Customs Branch and the Border Guard Station at Diem Dien port border gate have been proactive and concretized with specific and appropriate activities to meet the actual situation in the area.

Thereby, the coordination between the two units is regularly promoted and achieves positive results, contributing to improving the efficiency of control, immigration, import and export at the Diem Dien port border gate area, creating favorable conditions for the business community in operations, and helping the fight to prevent smuggling activities, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods.

Notably, from June 2020, the two units have coordinated to carry out entry procedures for 87 vehicles, 1,846 crew members, and nearly 2.8 million tons of imported goods; completed exit procedures for 87 vehicles, 1,882 crew members and 23.100 tons of export goods and 21.000 tons of transit goods.

In addition, the two sides regularly organize patrols, control, and strong maritime sovereignty protection, promptly detect and fight to prevent activities that infringe on the sovereignty of foreign vessels, violations of the law, especially illegal entry and exit activities...

In 2023, the two units coordinated together to patrol, inspect, and control at sea one ship (Avance Levant Ship, Maltese nationality) carrying 24.000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas.

At the same time, Thai Binh Customs Branch and Diem Dien Port Border Guard Station continue to promote synchronous implementation of the contents of the National Single Window and ASEAN Single Window.

In particular, we focus on fully implementing the list of administrative procedures of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Defense through the National Single Window to facilitate trade, reduce customs clearance time and reduce costs. for people, vehicles entering and exiting, exporting and importing goods, contributing to socio-economic development, strengthening national defense and security, expanding international exchange and cooperation in the area...

At the Conference, representatives of the two units shared lessons, difficulties and hardships when organizing jointed patrols and control at sea. In particular, all entry vehicles in the area are located at the petroleum transshipment anchorage area of Hai Ha Company (about 20km from Diem Dien port), so it is difficult to inspect and monitor the activities of these vehicles and foreigners.

Appreciating the efforts of the two units, representatives of Steering Committee 389 of Thai Binh province, Hai Phong Customs Department and Thai Binh Border Guard Command request Thai Binh Customs Branch and Diem Dien Port Border Guard Station continue to develop plans and propose solutions for better coordination in the coming time.
