On September 27th, 2018, the leader of the Customs Control Team (under Customs Department of Hai Phong) confirmed that the unit is chairing and handling the case.

Earlier, on September 26th, 2018, at Xanh VIP port and Dinh Vu Port, Customs Control Team in collaboration with Hai Phong Port Zone III Customs Branch and Dinh Vu port Customs Branch discovered two shipments containing two Roll Royce cars and one Ferrari F355 car and one Porsche 911 car which were illegally imported.

Specifically, the first shipment contained one five-seat used car with 4 doors, Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph brand, made in the UK in 2002 and one four-seat used car with four-door, Roll Royce Silver Seraph brand, made in the UK in 1999.

The second shipment consisted of one two-seat used car with two doors, Ferrari F355, brand, made in Italy in 1999, and one four-seat car with two doors, Porsche 911 brand, made in Europe in 1987.

All four cars are on the list of goods banned from import in Section II, Appendix I issued together with Decree No. 69/2018 / ND-CP dated May 15th, 2018 of the Government.

The customs authority has made a written record of the violation case and temporarily seized the material evidences for further verification and handling according to regulations

In June, 2018, a violation case of the import of Rolls Royce cars was also detected and arrested by Hai Phong Customs.

Specifically, on June 28^th, 2018, at Tan Vu Port, Hai Phong, the Customs Control Team coordinated with Hai Phong port zone 1 Customs Branch to inspect and detect infringing goods which were two used Rolls Royce touring cars, made in the UK in 2000 and 2001 (over 5 years from the year of manufacture to the year of importation). The two cars are on the list of banned goods (Section II) issued together with Appendix I of Decree No. 69/2018 / ND-CP dated May 15^th, 2018 of the Government.

This shipment was transported by Wanhai Vietnam Co., Ltd, Hai Phong Branch, as a shipping agent from Long Beach Port in the US to Hai Phong Port, and received by Binh Minh Minh Import-Export and Forwarding Company Limited (address in Ho Chi Minh City) as a forwarding agent. The goods were incorrectly declared on the transport document as "2 Units of Auto Parts".
