Tackling a case of transporting smuggled goods at night

VCN- Abusing the night, smugglers who transported goods from Cambodia to Vietnam were arrested by the interdisciplinary anti-smuggling force of Tinh Bien group in An Giang province.

Smuggled medicine and cloths were seized in the night of February 21.

On February 21, the interdisciplinary anti-smuggling force of Tinh Bien group -An Giang province said they had seized four packages of goods smuggled from the Cambodian border to Vietnam.

At about 2:40 a.m the same day, the interdisciplinary anti-smuggling force of Tinh Bien group were patrolling to prevent smuggling in the border area at Muong Chua field, Xuan Binh group, Tinh Bien Town and detected smugglers that were transporting goods from the Cambodian border to Vietnam.

Detecting the officials, smugglers quickly escaped and left thegoods. Through inspection, the competent force seized four packages of goods including 650 Big Lion branded medicine bags, 100 Cambodian-branded traditional medicines and 180 pieces of cloth used to make monks' clothes.

The competent force made a report and seized all the infringing goods and transferred the case to Tinh Bien Police for further investigation.
