Spent over 13 billion USD to import machinery and equipments

Despite this result which is 6% less in comparision to the same period in 2015, the group continues to be the largest valued commodity turnover, taking 16.26% of total national imports. Besides that, there is a group of other goods worth import value of more than 10 billion USD including computers, electric products and components which reached 12.623 billion USD, increase by 12.9% over the same period in 2015.
Along with 2 groups above, there are 17 other imported commodities worth more than 1 billion USD, including fabrics with over 5 billion USD, increased by 1,7%; mobile phones and accessories at nearly 4,8 billion USD, declined by 8,3%; plastic materials at 2.816 billion dollars, a rise of 0,1%.
Based on this result, it is clear that the growth rate in the main imports product category declined in comparision to 2015. For example, the group of machinery, equipement, tools and spare parts in June – 2015, grew by 36% over the same period in 2014; computers, electronic products and components increased by 35%; fabrics increase by 10,3%.
In general, by the end of June, the total import turnover value in the country reached more than 80 billion USD, a decrease of 0,8% compared to the same period of 2015. It is also a strong downward trend as the total import value in the country rise 17,1% at the end of June 2016.
