According to the latest preliminary statistics of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, by the end of April, Vietnam's exports to the Chinese market reached US$17.7 billion, an increase of 10.9% over the same period last year (equivalent to an increase of US$1.74 billion).

With the above results, China continues to be Vietnam's second-largest export market (after the US market).

Notably, by the end of April, there were five groups of our country's exports to this neighboring country reaching a turnover of US$1 billion or more, an increase of three groups compared to the same period in 2023.

Accordingly, three product groups are cameras, camcorders and components reaching US$1.88 billion (an increase of 102.8%); fruits and vegetables reached US$1.16 billion (growing 44.6%); machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts reached more than US$1 billion (rising 7%).

The remaining 2 groups of billion dollars are computers, electronic products and components reaching US$3.98 billion (an increase of 23.5%); phones and components reaching US$3.47 billion (a reduction of 14%).

Therefore, among the main export product groups, phones and components are the only product groups with a decrease in turnover compared to the same period last year. This also causes phones and components to lose their position as Vietnam's largest export product group to China in the group of computers, electronic products and components.
