Seizing nearly 21 million packs of smuggled cigarettes in the whole country

According to the Permanent Office of National Steering Committee 389, after nearly 3 years implementing Directive No. 30 (from 30/9/2014 to 30/6/2017), the forces discovered and detained 20.8 million packs of cigarettes all kind.

In particular, the forces have seized 10.3 million packs of cigarettes in 2015; 6.2 million packs of cigarettes in 2016; 4.3 million packs in the first 6 months of 2017; prosecuted 347 cases and 475 subjects; destroyed more than 21 million packs of cigarettes; the grand aid was 68.5 billion vnd.

Following the direction of the Government, the National Steering Committee 389, and competent forces have focused on grasping the situation, developed many plans to fight, prevent smuggled cigarettes and identify 6 key areas including: Ho Chi Minh City, Long An, An Giang, Tay Ninh, Dong Thap and Can Tho.
