Quang Ninh "attracts" the super tourism, and service projects

VCN- According to the statistics of the Quang Ninh Department of Planning and Investment, from the end of 2013 to now, Quang Ninh has attracted more than 100 projects with a total investment of more than US$ 5.5 billion, of which, a half of capital has concentrated in the Ha Long city. Remarkably, the strongest investment wave has focused on the tourism and services.

Attraction with large corporations

The most consistent tourism and service investor is the Tuan Chau Group with the largest international guest port in Vietnam; outdoor playgrounds, entertainment sectors; the longest coastal 4-star villas, hotel in Vietnam; food courts, golf courses… with total investment of nearly 50,000 billion VND. After nearly 20 years of building Tuan Chau Island, this group has contributed to embellishing the appearance of Ha Long Bay, bringing the world natural wonder closer to international friends.

According to Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuy, Director of Quang Ninh Tourism Department, the Tuan Chau Island was the first investment project in the field of tourism and trade of Ha Long. Everyday, this tourist area welcomes about 10,000 domestic and foreign tourists to entertain, relax, visit and discover Halong Bay.

One name that can not be ignored is the Sun Group. This group has invested the entertainment complex, which was designed and modeled on Disneyland Park with the Ring of the Sun and the Queen Ha Long cable car, the Sun World Ha Long Amusement Park... This is a big amusement park with many attractive points for visitors to Ha Long.

Now, the Group is also planning to execute the Ha Long Sun Square Project (Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City) with a total investment of over 2,300 billion VND. The project is to serve the Opening Ceremony of the National Tourism Year 2018, hosted by Quang Ninh province.

In addition, from 2013, the Vingroup Group has inaugurated and operated the Vincom Halong Trade Center project, and the high-end beach resort and hotel at the Reu Island - Vinpearl Ha Long Bay Resort .

At present, Vinpearl Ha Long Bay Resort is the most luxurious 5-star beach resort in the North that was built entirely on Reu Island with a view of 360 degrees overlooking Ha Long Bay. The Vingroup is also rapidly deploying the Ben Doan high-class tourism and service complex on the eastern bank of Cua Luc Bay (Ha Long City). The complex of resorts and new urban infrastructure is located on an area of over 68ha with total investment of over 12,000 billion VND.

In early 2016, the FLC Group made a great impression with the tourist resort FLC Ha Long, a scale of 224 ha, total investment of 3.400 billion VND. This is a complex area boasting many features, such as a 18 hole golf course, the international conference center with 1,500 seats, 5 star hotels, the luxury resort...

In the development plan, the province is calling for the investment in 14 large-scale eco-tourism real estate projects (2016-2020) and many other projects to develop four key tourism centers Ha Long; Mong Cai - Tra Co; Van Don - Co To; Uông Bí - Đông Triều - Quảng Yên.

Create maximum convenience for the enterprises

In order to contribute to the creation of favorable, equal, friendly, open and transparent environment for doing business and investing, Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuy said that the Tourism Department had just issued a document on the implementation of Action Plan No. 2614/KH-UBND of the People's Committee to implement Resolution No. 19-2018/NQ-CP of the Government on continuing to perform the major tasks and measures to improve the business environment, enhance the provincial competitiveness PCI, local, provincial competitiveness DDCI.

The Quang Ninh Tourism Department is also aiming to create favorable conditions to support the enterprises in the best possible way, by controlling and handling any acts of corruption and harassment towards the enterprises. To be the most interested in start-up enterprises, innovating enterprises, to create motivation and breakthroughs in attracting investment into the province; to raise the responsibility of the cadres and civil servants in handling the public administrative procedures for the enterprises, the units, and the people in the province, in order to raise the competitiveness of enterprises.

“At the same time, the province is implementing to simplify and minimize the composition of records, time and costs of handling administrative procedures in the field of tourism: To publish the administrative procedures transparently in various forms; to intensify the work of internal inspection in order to prevent, detect and handle strictly any harassing and corruption acts by officers performing their tasks, as well as to propose the solutions and measures for the development of tourism business in the province,” said Mr. Thuy.

Achieving the above objectives, according to a leader of Quang Ninh Tourism Department, the agency had proposed five groups of measures, including: propaganda solutions; developing the solutions to raise the competitiveness of the tourism industry; improving the tourist business environment comprehensively; adjusting the operation of cheap tours through the tourist spots; reporting to the Central ministries and branches to have a pilot mechanism on management of the tourism sector to create favorable conditions for the business development; improving the quality of tourism services and coordinating with the relevant agencies to ensure absolute safety for land and sea visitors.

Along with that, there are the regulations on receipt of feedback information and handling of violations in the field of tourism in the province, handling violations in the field of tourism and regular implementation of monitoring and evaluation of tourism management and business; active implementation of practical solutions to support the enterprises and the economic organizations in the field of tourism.

At the grassroots level, according to the leader of Mong Cai city, this agency’s aim is that Mong Cai tourism would become the key economic sector basically by 2020. In order to fulfill the targeted objectives, the People's Committee of Mong Cai required the agencies and units to restructure the tourism industry to ensure professionalism, modernity and sustainable development according to principles of the market economy and international integration; to step up the reform of tourist mechanisms and policies; to invest in the development of infrastructure and materials and technical facilities in the tourism industry.

"At the same time, the unit would strengthen the promotion, advertisement, cooperation and development of tourism human resources. The Mong Cai city also required the functional units to create a favorable environment for the enterprises and the tourism development community; to promote the application of science and technology and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the State management on tourism," the leader of Mong Cai city added.
