Over 9,000 foreign cars imported to Vietnam to in the first half of October

VCN - The number of imported CBU cars continues to remain high level in the first half of October, the latest statistics from the General Department of Vietnam Customs releases.

In the first half of October, the country spent over US$ 190.7 million to import 9,227 cars of all types.

7, 745 cars with nine seats or less were imported with the import turnover of US$136 million. With positive results, car imports have improved in recent months.

In September, the country imported 18,405 CBU cars of all types, with a total turnover of about US$378 million, up 22.2% in quantity and 26.4% in value compared to the previous month.

Vietnam imported the most cars from Indonesia, Thailand and China.

The country imported the largest volume with 50,890 cars from Indonesia with a total turnover of about US$746 million.

The country imported 47,580 vehicles from Thailand with a total turnover of about US$923 million.

The quantity of car imported from China ranked third with 21,948 cars and US$653.4 million, respectively.

As of October 15, the country imported 134,272 CBU cars, with a total turnover of US$2.76 billion.
