Nghe An Customs seize 5,200 tablets of synthetic narcotics and one kilogram of opium

VCN – The Anti-drugs enforcement team (Nghe An Customs) has coordinated with Anti-drugs and criminal prevention Division, Keng Du Border Post, My Ly Border Post (Nghe An Border Defense force) and Ky Son District Police to successfully close the specialized project 384L and arrest a person transporting 5,200 tablets of synthetic narcotics and one kilogram of opium.

Thoong Dam Kham Vieng was arrested

At 1:15 PM on August 25, in the area of Keo Con village, Keng Du commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An province, the competent force arrested Thoong Dam Kham Voi Xay (born in 1997, living in Phieng Hong village, Bo Nhia village, Noong Het district, Xieng Khoang province, Laos) due to illegally transporting narcotics.

At the scene, competent forces seized 5,200 tablets of synthetic drugs and one kilogram of opium.

At the investigating agency, Thoong Dam Kham Vieng Xay claimed that he was hired to transport the above amount of drugs to the border and cross to Vietnam in order to get payment.

Currently, competent forces are continuing to expand the investigation.
