Accordingly, the total registered capital of these 12,404 enterprises is 131,378 billion VND, an increase of 6.2% in the number of enterprises and 39.0% of registered capital compared to the previous month. The average registered capital per enterprise in August reaches 10.6 billion VND, up 30.8% over the previous month.

Also in August 2017, 1,605 enterprises have returned to operations, 1,667 enterprises have registered for temporary suspension of business, 2,110 enterprises which are ceasing business operations have not registered or have waited for dissolution and 1,146 enterprises have completed the dissolution procedures over the country.

The General Statistics Office also said that in the first eight months of 2017, there were 85,357 newly established enterprises over the country with the registered capital of 822,116 billion VND, up 16.3% in the number of enterprises and 44.8% of registered capital compared to the same period in 2016. In which, real estate business has the highest growth rate with 3,156 newly established enterprises, up 65.8%

In addition, the number of enterprises returning to operation in the first eight months of 2017 is 19,154 enterprises, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%.

According to the General Statistics Office, the number of enterprises registering for temporary suspension of business for a certain period in the country in eight months is 17,231 enterprises, up 15.5% over the same period in 2016. These enterprises shall re-operate after the expiry date of the temporary suspension period.
