Export turnover of two agricultural product groups grows three-digit

Cashew nuts and pepper are two export agricultural product groups that see the high export turnover.

Accordingly, the export volume of Cashew nuts in March reached 58,922 tons with the export turnover of US$315.45 million, up 121.6% in volume and 122.3% in value compared with the previous month.

By the end of March, cashew exports recorded 150,683 tons, the export turnover reached US$808.85 million, an increase of 35.4% in volume and 24.6% in turnover compared to the same period in 2023.

Meanwhile, pepper exports achieved 25,917 tons, and the turnover reached US$111.58 million, up 92.7% in volume and 104.8% in turnover compared to the previous month.

Despite a sharp increase in March, the volume of exported pepper still plummeted in the first three months of the year and the export turnover only increased slightly. In the first quarter of 2024, pepper exports reached 56,783 tons with the turnover of US$235.82 million, down 25.4% in volume, and up 1.1% in turnover compared to the same period in 2023.
