Mong Cai Customs seize 200kg of illegally exported chalk

VCN – According to to the leader of Mong Cai Customs Branch (Quang Ninh Customs Department), Mong Cai Customs Branch has detected a shipment of chalk which was being exported illegally.

At 11 AM of 12^th April 2017, at the parking area of the Bac Luan International Border gate, the Mong Cai Customs Branch coordinated with Mong Cai Border Post of and Crime prevention team through environmental design (PC49), Police of Mong Cai city, Tran Phu Police (Mong Cai City) to detect 67 soft chalks with total weight was 200 kg (unidentified the owner).

Currently, Mong Cai Customs Branch collaborates with competent authorities to identify the owner in order to handle in accordance with regulations.

Previously, according to the survey result of some reporters on the social network, some Chinese traders came to Ngoc Hoi district, Dak Glei (Kon Tum province) to show the sample and order, Vietnamese traders, to buy a kind of red stone, soft and writing like chalk. Furthermore, dealers usually call it like soft stone or chalk.
