Importing more than 7,000 CBU cars in first half of October

According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in the first half of October, the country imported 7,225 CBU cars of all kinds and total turnover was $148 million.
In particular, cars under nine seats and less had the largest number with 5,647 units with the total turnover $103.8 million.
Trucks were in the second place with 1,251 units, the turnover was over $30 million, the remaining was cars over nine seats and specialised cars.
After hitting the bottom with 3,552 cars in June, in recent months, imports of automobiles have been back on track.
In July, it increased to 4,781 units; it continued to increase 8,836 units in August and hit 12,670 units in September.
From the beginning of the year to October 15, the country imported 73,685 CBU cars with total turnover of more than $1.6 billion.
Thailand and Indonesia are the biggest importers of CBU cars of Vietnam.
Per the update of the General Department of Customs by the end of September, imports from the Thailand market reached 31,210 units, total turnover of $638.2 million and the Indonesia market reached 24,820 units with a total turnover of $309.6 million.
