According to HCM City Tax Department, the number of tax dossiers inspected by the department at the tax office increased by 32% year-on-year to 90,503 dossiers.
The department requested taxpayers to make additional declarations and impose VND42 billion of tax, up 98%; reduced revenue loss of VND225 billion, and reduced VAT deduction of over VND2 billion.
Of which, 285 dossiers must make additional declarations, 324 dossiers must be imposed tax and 2,038 violation dossiers must be inspected at the taxpayer’s premises.
HCM City Tax Department inspected 8,599 enterprises, up 10%; collected VND1,335 billion from tax arrears, fines and refunded tax; reduced VAT reduction of VND319 billion; reduced revenue loss of VND6,208 billion; refused tax refund of VND43 billion; and contributed VND761 billion to the State budget.
The total amount of additional revenue, tax arrears, fines and refunded tax in the first eight months of the year increased by 11% to VND1,377 billion; VAT refund of VND321 billion and loss reduction of VND6,433 billion.
The department inspected 375 enterprises. The amount of tax arrears, fines and refunded tax rose by 30% to VND606 billion; VAT refund of VND77 billion and loss reduction of VND2,433 billion, and paid VND242 billion to the State budget.
The department’s leader said that in the near future the department will expedite the anti-revenue loss through inspection for high-risk enterprises to prevent fraud in VAT refunds; strengthen tax administration for enterprises and individuals doing business in e-commerce, real estate transfer; implement tax administration for imported cars and motorcycles for non-commercial purposes.
