According to HCM City Customs Department, from the beginning of the year to August 15, border gate customs units screened 15,487 containers before customs clearance.

The customs detected that 422 of 14,529 screened containers saw suspected signs, accounting for 2.9%.

The customs unit in charge of screening containers sent information related to these suspected consignments to the Customs where enterprises opened declarations for physical inspection.

The city department has classified customs declarations to inspect over 2 million customs declarations. Of which, 1,247,654 declarations, 721,078 declarations and 123,154 declarations were classified into the Green channel, Yellow channel and Red channel, accounting for 59.64%, 34.47% and 5.89%, respectively.

The Customs detected over 2,600 declarations showing violations.
