VCN- According to Cau Treo International Border Gate Customs Branch (Ha Tinh Customs Department), the Branch worked with the Economic Police Department and Traffic Police Department of Ha Tinh Police and the Police of Huong Son District to seize 14 kg of pangolin scale, several turtles and more than 410 kg of precious wood.

At 18:00 on April 22on Highway 8A in Tay Son town (Huong Son District), competent forces pulled over a car with a Lao license plate driven by Vo Hong Cung, born in 1982 from Cau Treo Border Gate to Nghe An.

Through inspection, the owner of the car was found to be Nguyen Duc Hop, born in 1993, residing in Tho Bang village, Duc Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, Nghe An province.

The car transported one pangolin (weighing about 4 kg), 17 turtles (weighing about 10 kg) and 38 wooden logs (weighing more than 410 kg without documents).

The case is being investigated by competent forces.
