Ha Tinh Customs coordinated to seize 431 tablets of ecstasy

VCN – Through a discussion with Customs News reporter, representative of Anti-drug Enforcement Team (Ha Tinh Customs Department) said that, the unit collaborated with Border force and Ha Tinh Police to arrest 1 man while he was transporting 431 tablets of ecstasy.

At 3:00PM, at Cau Treo International Border Gate, the working group had detected and arrested Nguyen Van Chuyen (was born in 1993, lives at Thach Son, Anh Son district, Nghe An province) while he was illegally transporting narcotics.

Through the inspection, the working group seized 431 tablets which were stored in a cigarettes package carried by the subject.

At the investigation agency, Nguyen Van Chuyen claimed that he was hired to transport those drugs for a Lao person from Lac Xao (Laos) to Vietnam with a payment of 2 million VND.

Currently, Chuyen and the ecstasy have been handed over to competent forces for handling in accordance with regulations. As known, this is the first achievement in the peak month of drug prevention in Ha Tinh province.
