Export turnover of fertilizer rises by 174.3%

In July, the whole country exported 112,705 tons of fertilizer, with a turnover of US$75.16 million, dropping by 48.1% in volume and decreasing by 49% compared to the previous month.
However, in the first 7 months of this year, exports of this item still maintained a high increase compared to the same period last year.
Specifically, by the end of July, the whole country exported 1,111,037 tons of fertilizer, with a turnover of US$721.8 million, up 41.5% in volume and 174.3% in turnover over the same period last year.
In the list of 45 main export commodity groups announced by the General Department of Vietnam Customs, fertilizer is the commodity group with the highest turnover growth rate in the past seven months.
Customs data showed that the main export markets of fertilizers are concentrated in Asia, especially Southeast Asia such as Cambodia, Korea, Philippines, Myanmar.
In the past seven months, Cambodia is the largest export market with 298,050 tons, a turnover of US$160.4 million. Although the volume decreased by nearly 40,000 tons compared to the same period last year, the turnover rose by nearly US$40 million, equivalent to an increase of nearly 33%.
Besides the decline in Cambodia, fertilizer exports to other key markets had high growth.
Typically, Myanmar reached 46,314 tons, with a turnover of US$29.32 million, increasing by 467.8% in volume and 819% in turnover over the same period last year.
Or the Korean market reached 82,457 tons, with a turnover of nearly US$62 million, an increase of 440.4% in volume, while the turnover increased by 14.5 times.
