Director of import-export company appropriated VND300 billion in four months

Hai Phong City Police Investigation Police Authority has issued Wanted noticeNo. 34/QD-CSHS-D5 for Nguyen Thi Mai born on October 22, 1983, residingatNo.8/28/320 Le Lai, May Chai, Ngo Quyen district, Hai Phong city.
Nguyen Thi Mai is the director of Mai Lam Import-Export Investment Joint Stock Company – a large timber import-export company in Hai Phong city.
According to Hai Phong Police, from December 2019 to March 2020, Nguyen Thi Mai signed capital contribution contracts, wood sales and purchase contracts to appropriate more than VND300 billion from14 individuals and then escaped.
Thus, in four months, Mai has appropriated hundreds of billions of VND.
Hai Phong Police charged Nguyen Thi Mai for abusing of trust to appropriate propertyspecified in Article 175 of the Criminal Code.
The Police suggests that any person has the right to arrest and release the wanted person immediately to the nearest police office, Procuracy or People's Committee.
After arresting or receiving information of the wanted person, they must immediately notify Team 5 of the Criminal Police Division of Hai Phong Police, address: No. 4 Le Dai Hanh, Minh Khai ward, Hong Bang district, Hai Phong city, phone number 069.2785.874 or contact Investigator Hoang Kim Thai at mobile phone number 090.4127.567.
