Customs strengthen anti-counterfeiting in the health field

The General Department of Customs requested the units to thoroughly and strictly implement Document No. 90 of National Steering Committee 389 and dispatch 134 of the General Department of Customs about launching the attack combating smuggling, manufacturing counterfeit pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and functional foods.

In key areas, Customs forces will promote professional activities to strengthen inspection and control of food additives, food coloring, enhancers for food processing, chemical food preservatives, substances banned in food processing; fruit, beverages, functional foods; pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics, and strictly handle violations.

The unit focuses on: License quality standards, food safety, origin, trademarks, and brands, to timely inspection and control; detect obstacles and shortcomings of policies in the field of State management on health and propose amendments, additions and timely corrective action.
