Customs seizes more than 30 tonnes of banned goods

According to the Customs Enforcement Unit (An Giang Customs Department), at dawn on May 17, the unit worked with PC03- An Giang Police Department, Team 4- An Giang Market Management Department to tackle a case of transporting illegally of electronic goods at the confluence of the Chau Doc - An Giang rivers.
This motorboat moved from Cambodia to Vietnam and when it was discovered and seized by the working group, the vehicle operator fled.

The working group conducted a physical inspection of this motorboat. The initial result showed that more than 30 tonnes of electronic goods, including refrigerators, air conditioners and fans all have been used and are in the list of goods banned from being imported.
The Customs Enforcement Team continues to coordinate with other competent forces to conduct detailed inspections of the above banned goods./.
