It is known that, up to now, there are 28/35 customs authorities have achieved the assigned target of the State revenue collection by the Ministry of Finance. They are the customs departments of Hai Phong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Quang Nam, Quang Ninh, Khanh Hoa, Can Tho, Da Nang, Ha Nam Ninh, Long An, Ha Tinh, Lao Cai, Nghe An, Tay Ninh, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Thua Thien – Hue, Binh Phuoc, Dak Lak, Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Ca Mau, Kien Giang, An Giang, Quang Binh, Dong Thap, Dien Bien.
In that, 18 customs departments completed the two targets (including additional allocation): Hai Phong, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Khanh Hoa, Da Nang, Ha Nam Ninh, Long An, Lao Cai, Tay Ninh, Quang Ngai, Hue, Binh Phuoc; Dak Lak, Cao Bang, An Giang, Dong Thap, Quang Binh, Dien Bien.
In some customs departments such as Ho Chi Minh City Customs and Hanoi, the revenue collection is being achieved by 94.47% and 89.59% respectively.
In addition, due to the impact of free trade agreements, the revenues collected from import goods have been reduced and the change of operations in the areas. Thus some customs departments achieved a low result of revenue collection such as Lang Son Customs currently reached 63.8%, Thanh Hoa Customs reached 76.19%, Quang Tri is 89%, Gia Lai - Kon Tum is 75.47%
Although the state revenue in 2018 has exceeded the target, the General Department of Vietnam Customs still actively promotes measures for increasing revenues, preventing budget deficits, and enhancing the collection of tax debts in order to achieve the highest annual state revenues in 2018.
