Earlier, on July 22, the GDVC issued Official Dispatch 3695/TCHQ-GSQL instructing local customs departments in inspecting the preservation of the goods amid the Covid-19 pandemic to achieve the goal of effectively preventing the pandemic while ensuring smooth import and export activities.
The inspection of goods preservation will be delayed until the GDVC issued a new notification.
The GDVC requests local customs departments to discuss in writing with the specialized inspection agency to specify the delay in returning the specialized test results if the local departments have not received the specialized inspection results after the deadline.
Regarding the inspection of storage sites, based on the application for storing goods submitted by the enterprise to the customs electronic data processing system, the customs branch where the declaration is registered for the first time will not check the sites and requests enterprises to provide online images related to the storage sites via video recording devices to carry out procedures.
According to the country’s top customs regulator, Covid-19 has been controlled and economic and travel activities have been restored, so the inspection of goods preservation and storage sites will comply with provisions of Clause 5, Article 32 of Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC dated March 25, 2015 amended and supplemented in Clause 19, Article 1 of Circular 39 /2018/TT BTC dated April 20, 2018 of the Ministry of Finance.
The GDVC stops implementing the Official Dispatch 3695/TCHQ-GSQL guiding the goods inspection and preservation amid the outbreak of Covid-19.
The inspection will comply with the provisions of Circular 38 amended and supplemented in Clause 19 of Article 1 Circular 39.
