In particular, during the Action Month for Drug Prevention and Control and the All-People Day for Drug Prevention and Control in 2024, the General Department of Customs has coordinated with and deployed a peak against drug-related crimes according to direction of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang at all affiliated and subordinate units in accordance with the functions, tasks, situation and characteristics of the locality and unit.

During the implementation process, the Customs sector always upholds the leadership role of Party committees at all levels, the responsibilities of the head and raises awareness of officials, civil servants, public employees, and employees throughout the Customs sector in anti-drug.

Regarding the results of the anti-drug, during the Action Month for Drug Prevention and Control in 2024, the Customs presided over and coordinated with the competent forces to seize 49 cases with 57 suspects and confiscated 591 kg of drugs of all kinds.

Typically, special case HP524 was established by Hanoi Customs Department on May 30, 2024, in coordination with PC04 (Hanoi City Police) to fight against criminals illegally transporting drugs from Germany to Vietnam, via Noi Bai international airport.

On June 4, 2024, the Investigation Team arrested 4 suspects and confiscated about 179 kg of the synthetic drug MDMA. This is a typical and outstanding case with the largest quantity of seized drugs ever transported via air

The results of the above-mentioned project show the proactive, positive, and effective coordination between the Customs and other authorities, because not only confiscating the "huge" amount of drugs ever through air, the authorities have arrested many criminals.

Communication content focuses on guidelines, policies, laws of the Party and State and legal knowledge on environmental protection; the role and position of the Customs force in the fight against drug; consequences and harmful effects of drugs trafficking, especially new tricks of drug criminals...
