This shipment opened import declaration by Kim Long import export trading production company limited (address at 1A21 / 2, Group 1, Hamlet 1, Pham Van Hai Commune, Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City).
The imported goods included 2,500 units of pot sinks made from stainless steel (excluding water tap and drain valve). It’s brand was Yutao and originated from China. The total value of the five containers was 500 million VND.
On April 26, 2019, Unit 3 collaborated with Saigon port area 1 Customs Branch to inspect the containers. They discovered the number of imported goods included more than 6,000 double pot sinks which exceeded the amount of goods as declared by 3,000 units and 1,000 sets of shower without implementing customs declaration. The initial value of the consignment was about 2 billion VND.
Notably, on the product packaging, it did not show the brand, it was only written as Mark SUS304. According to customs officials, the import of goods without labels violated customs laws. Most likely, if the imported shipment was successfully cleared, it would be labelled with high-end brand to deceive consumers.
Kim Long import export trading production company limited was established in 2018, with the main business line wholesaler of materials and other installation equipment in construction.
