VCN- According to Thanh Hoa Border Guard, the unit has arrested a perpetrator trafficking 1,197 tablets of synthetic drugs from Laos to Vietnam for consumption.

At 5 p.m on 22nd April 2018, when the patrol forces of Quang Chieu Border Guard Station, Lat District (Thanh Hoa province) were patrolling at Co Cai Village, Muong Lat District, they detected 2 suspicious people and then inspected them.

As soon as seeing the patrol force, the two people ran away. The Border Guard force pursued and arrested the Mr.Tang Van Cau, born in 1967, residenting in Pieng Lieng village, Phun Thoong commune, Vieng Xay District, Laos. The remaining person took advantage of the difficult area to quickly escape.

On-site inspection, the patrol force detected a pink colored plastic bag, containing six blue plastic bags inside and a white plastic bag containing 1,197 tablets of synthetic drugs.

At the investigating agency’s head quarter, Tang Van Can explained that he was hired by a person named Len, residing in Quang Chieu Commune (Muong Lat District) to traffic the synthetic drugs from Laos to Vietnam for consumption.

Currently, the case is being investigated by competent force.
