On August 6, according to the An Giang province police, Colonel Dinh Van Noi, the director of An Giang province Police, directed professional divisions and local police departments to close the 520H project on fighting the organisation "illegal trading narcotics, military weapons and supporting tools" leading by Huynh Tran Hung (born in 1985, residing in hamlet 2, My Long ward, Long Xuyen city, An Giang). The competent force seized seven guns of all kinds which are military weapons, homemade guns, supporting tools and hundreds of bullets of all kinds and many exhibits related to the drug trading activities of this group.

Identifying the subjects in the project were especially dangerous and willing to use weapons to fight back. On August 3, under the direction of Colonel Dinh Van Noi, the drug related criminal investigation police force of the province coordinated with divisions of the provincial police and Long Xuyen city police, Thoai Son, Cho Moi and Chau Thanh districts police to arrest Huynh Tran Hung and the subjects in the case including: Ngo Van Minh Sang, born in 1988; Le Trong Cuong, born in 1991, residing in Long Xuyen City; Nguyen Trong Nghia, born in 1993, residing in Thoai Son districts and Dinh The Vinh, born in 2000, residing in Rach Gia city, Kien Giang province and five other related subjects.

Through conducting an urgent inspection at the shelters of the subjects, the police force seized three guns, nine bullets, seized many different type of drugs, and many related exhibits.

By verifying quickly to expand the case, on August 5, in Tay Ninh province, a working group arrested three subjects including: Huynh Quoc Tuan, born in 1989 and Tran Nguyen Ngoc Trung, born in 1990, both residing in Trang Bang town and Doan Minh Chien, born in 1993, residing in Thoai Son district, An Giang province. The force seized four guns, hundreds of bullets and some assembly components of guns.
