Already refunded over 38.000 billion VND of VAT

Accordingly, the amount tax refund above is equal to 38.8% over the last year. Also, it is equivalent to 37.35% compared to the current appropriation of VAT refund which is assigned by the National Assembly.
In that, 6,577 decisions of refunding export tariffs with the amount of over 30,000 billion VND; 760 decisions of refunding for investment projects with the amount of 7.8 thousand billion VND; 458 decisions for other refunds with the amount of 585 billion VND.
Remarkably, the expenditure for VAT refund through the State Treasury, according to the statistic provided by State Treasury, as of 4/6, the amount of expenditure for VAT refund is 39,902 billion VND.
In that, the amount of tax refund which occurred in 2017 and transferred to 2018 is 2,189 billion VND. Refund for the decision of tax refund in 2018 is 37,713 billion VND.
Notably, from the beginning of the year to May 2018, the total number of enterprises participating in electronic tax refund is 4,126 out of 4,542 enterprises, achieving 90.84%. The number of dossiers received is 7,625 dossiers out of a total of 8,185 dossiers, reaching 93.27%. The total number of dossiers that have completed processes in the system is 5,201 dossiers with a total refund of more than 25.185 billion VND.
Currently, the General Department of Taxation is continuing to deploy information technology applications to meet the Prime Minister's instructions on reforming tax administrative procedures and building e-government, including electronic tax refund services.
The development of information technology applications meets the requirements of implementing new processes and policies as well as requests for policy revisions to simplify administrative procedures, reduce the number of hours for tax compliance completion under the direction of the Prime Minister.
