In order to promote the socialization of public services and administrative procedure reform, the Law on Charges and Fees removed 26 charges and 68 fees, transferred 15 fees to the market mechanism and 29 fees to the mechanism of services’ prices set by the State compared with the list of charges and fees attached to the Ordinance on Fees and Charges, and guidance documents on implementing this Ordinance.

In recent times, by implementing the resolutions and directives of the Government, the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Finance have coordinated with ministries and localities to review and agree on not collecting 6 charges and 4 fees, adjusting to reduce the collection fee rates for 21 charges and 2 fees.

Accordingly, it is expected that the Ministry of Finance will issue 17 circulars on amending and supplementing these fees and charges.

In fact, the reduction of fees and charges is not much, but some of the regulations on fee reduction are very important and have been implemented. Some of the fees and charges such as enterprise establishment fee is reduced from 200,000 to 100,000 VND. Newly established businesses benefit from the application of this policy.

Till now, the Ministry of Finance has issued 8 circulars and is continuing to coordinate with ministries, sectors and localities to complete other circulars in the direction of reducing fees.
