25 containers of backlogged scrap re-exported from Cat Lai port

According to Saigon port area 1 Customs Branch, more than 2,000 containers of backlogged scrap imported via Cat Lai port wereclassified and counted by the unit.
In particular, 25 containers have already been re-exported. The remaining more than 100 containers are in the form of key lock, nearly 300 containers under investigation, so those containers are also temporarily locked by competent authorities, some 160 containers have had declarations opened by enterprises but they have not received the goods.
Currently, Saigon port 1 area Customs Branch has conducted classification of 300 containers, the rest will be classified for handling in the future.
At a meeting with the leaders of the Saigon port area 1 Customs Branch last weekend, the Director of Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department requested the branch coordinate with Saigon Newport Corporation to push the progress of classification, to expeditiously handle the above scrap, clearing the ground for ports, attracting import and export goods.
