Why is there such a large difference? At 21-12-2016, exchanging with Customs reporters, Ms Nguyen Thi Hong Thu, Head clerk of General co-ordination, information and communications Board of Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (Vitas ) said: The statistics and estimated figures that Textile industry brought out were based on the statistics of the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

In particular, textiles reached $US 22.577 billion; fibers, yarns reached $US 2.772 billion; textile raw materials, leather and footwear reached $US 1.427 billion; curtain fabric, engineering fabric was $US 401 million.
In the first half of December of 2016, total turnover of these four product groups reached $US 1.214 billion. If this value was maintained in the second half December, the total value of exports of textile industry in 2016 will be in the range of $US 28.4 billion.
